Great first time fishing experience! What a great place for a young child to have their first fishing experience. The staff was amazing, friendly and welcoming. Everything is provided for you and no licence is required. The pond features rainbow trout and a is bit small but the experience was not small.
You do need to keep all the fish you keep (unless they throw it back for you). We had one very small fish they put back. Do keep in mind that they are 75 cents per inch for the fish but they will clean them and put them on ice or cook them for you for dollar more. For about $6 more they will make a whole fish dinner. For the non fish lovers they do have a full menu to choice from with pretty reasonable prices.

Gary & Michele:
Thank you for a wonderful 1st camping experience!  Our 10 days spent in the Black Hills were very “soggy,” but the best time was spent in your campground.  We played 6 different golf courses and had the opportunity to tour the area quite well despite the rain and flooding issues. We look forward to “leveling up” and “sitting down” again with all of you around a nice campfire and perhaps sing a few songs. Your hospitality was appreciated; we felt right at home.

We had a great few days here at this campground. Visiting from Queensland In Australia, we had “snow’ yes snow. Gary and Michelle were some of the best hosts we have found in our travels around the USA. The campground setting was just so relaxing and had a very well stocked shop. We enjoyed out visit to Deadwood again, last there in 1977.

We camped here for two nights and loved it! The staff was very friendly and helpful. My husband and son were quick to hit the ATV trails and I enjoyed the pool while they were gone. The park is convenient to Deadwood and Sturgis so we went there the second day. We’ll come back again on the way home from Montana.

This is an older facility, but clean and very helpful people. The owners are on site everyday and very helpful with information on the local area. Most sites are back-in with plenty of room and the staff/owner will help with all parking. The sites are level with hook ups to the rear so you may need additional hoses. There is no AT&T phone service and if the campground is full the WiFi can be very busy. The cafe has great food, and the fish deal is the best, catching your own fish at their pond and then having it cooked right on site or you can take the fish back to your site and cook. The small store is very well stocked with RV needs because the owners are also RVers.

Stayed here for a week in one of their cabins near the creek. Kids loved the pool, I got to catch a few trout (they cooked them for us) and met some nice RVers in the camp. Wifi was good and our Verizon also worked for here. Showers and restrooms were clean and they have a cafe that serves breakfast. All in all we liked the campground because everyone was so friendly.
